still coming down

what a weekend - The eagles of death metal & peaches show thurs. night was a blast. Good times w/ all the guys. EODM were absolutely great, spoof-rock at it's best, sucks they didn't get a longer set. Peaches was good, even better than I thought she'd be. I didn't mind having to stick around to watch her set after the rest of the guys left. What a bill: I've never seen a crowd go from hardcore rock 'n roll to lesbian/metrosexual so fast. 97 estoria after the show was nice, although possibly a bit unnecessary. Our waitress, the 'morton salt girl', was the cutest/youngest looking 30-year old I've ever seen. Friday night brought Leo & Heather's wedding rehearsal and dinner. It was nice hanging out w/ everyone together again, even if these times are only going to get more sporadic as we all 'grow up'. The haiku that we prepared for Eric to say at dinner was great [& also a tradition that I am going to make sure to continue...

* mark your calendars *

9.19 - Art Brut, We Are Scientists, & The Spinto Band @ The Roxy This is the most amazing, fun, & energetic bill you will ever see. I will buy you a ticket to this show & you only have to pay me back after you say that it is the most fun you've ever had at a rock show. How many tickets should I get? PS - how is peaches headlining the show tomorrow night over the eagles of death metal? Eh, I guess it doesn't really matter: a rock show with all the guys is going to be a blast regardless - cheers!

life on a chain

Great weekend: Friday night we got a crew together and headed to midtown. It was really nice hanging out w/ Eric and Lindsay again, we don't get together near as much as we used to. Live music is about all that is necessary for a good night whether you're sober or not [jb, bg, and I def. weren't]. I'm very thankful for running into Tatum and them, otherwise birt and I both might've needed rescuing from that crazy girl's house. Not opening the shop until one is going to make the weekends a lot easier on Montine and I. I haven't seen two movies in the same day in forever. Click had me fighting back tears the entire second half of the movie. It would be awesome if everyone could have that dream very early in their lives. I'm really digging the kind of films that adam sandler is getting into now. Dupree is good, although not half as funny as Tatum made it sound like it was. I'm sure the rest of the folks in there assumed that she was hammered si...

nice try kid

You can't say that I lack effort, I just need some new/old friends that are up for stepping outside their comfort zone...[what's new] Consistent communication would be nice as well, but I think it all comes down to having your siginificant other and maybe a 'top three', that's about all that seems to matter to anyone anyway. I did find out that I can shut the tops of my bananas in the bottom of the cupboard and make my own banana hanger, so I've got that going for me. That's actually a really nice discovery.
