big days, big nights

A few lessons learned during the last week:

-The real heroes in movies are the extras. Getting paid 75 bucks for sitting around for 12 hours acting like & dressed like it's 80 degrees outside [while it's actually only 40] is not the ideal way to spend the day. It's still a pretty cool experience though.

- Photo shoots for business magazines, or any other magazine for that matter, are awkward.

- Jack & cokes at huge Halloween parties in old churches w/ tons of crazy people, vaulted ceilings, stain glassed windows, and balconies are extremely strong.

- Helping kids make t-shirts at a picnic isn't the best thing to do if you still have fake blood streaming down your face from the night before...ideally.

- Ga Tech is going to the ACC championship game. Jacksonville anyone?

Oh, and UGA sucks.

- Moving the shop a half mile down the road while still doing business isn't any way to spend a Sunday or Monday either. We'll definitely be shaking up Studioplex though...and I hear we've got first dibs on purchasing loft space in the development [beltline, anyone?]

nyc for cmj tomorrow - I bought a big black duffel bag from the army surplus store & I think I've almost figured out how to print my plane tickets off of the Internet. I still need to check into that whole 'liquids in a baggie' thing some more...

Spending halloween night at the drive-in w/ a few friends & two horror movies sounds like an excellent plan.

- bring your blankets & coolers

I always feel like a slacker b/c everyone else is at work and I'm not, even though I work Saturdays and I went into the shop for a few hours today and did some freelance stuff. I guess it's just me. Such beautiful weather, it seems like the weather's been pretty much awesome for the past month or so. Pretty good weekend. Friday night we checked out Front Page News in midtown. It was pretty cool, I just miss the good ol' days when everyone else would get a little crazy, seems like they're all so chill now. I guess that's how it is when you get in a relationship though, so that's good for them. I guess I feel like having a girlfriend doesn't really change the way I act that much, but maybe it does. I'll work on them though, now that even more of us are in the city. Saturday was an ...

Alright, this is a tough one. The lineup for the Austin City Limits Festival was just announced and it looks pretty damn cool. I think we're going to have to get old school & have a little battle to see which one I should head to this summer. This could get ugly...
