The holidays were nice: This was def the weirdest/worst Christmas ever but still good times. Nanny's was different since it's hit the point where it seems like it's time for each 'family' to go their separate way now + w/ all the new little kids and the 20-somethings growing apart. I'm looking forward to having the Fuller Christmas in Charlotte next year. I do love getting more from Mom + Robert than any kid over 14 should - it's pretty awesome how much they've done + continue to do for us. I got to spend a few days w/ Brooke before taking her to the airport on Christmas eve - that was def the best part of the holidays by far. Dad and I got out and played some golf w/ DJ Sparkles as our personal caddy on an unbelievably beautiful day for late December [or April for that matter]. It wasn't hard to tell that it'd been months since I last touched a club. Grandma Salter's was different this year too; mainly b/c Mom + Robert left for Houston on th...

heading to barnsley for the aso holiday party tonight - it def won't be the same or near as much fun w/o brooke but it'll be nice having dj drive there

Great weekend - bama crushed the gators + made tebow and meyer cry [to the point of dehydration even], gt came back to win the acc and brooke came up saturday night - spending time w/ her made everything amazing, whether it was watching the gt game on the couch, heading to the dome sunday to watch the falcons get crushed by her eagles [got to see vick make some plays but unfortunately no john parker], or finally finishing up season three of dexter over some delicious tuna steaks, brown rice + asparagus. Last night was the most ridiculous night of softball I've ever been involved in: ~44°, game one - we're down four runs heading into the top of the last inning [we're the visitors], we tie the game up + hold them in the bottom of the 6th before scoring five in the top of the 7th + holding on for the win. game two - we go up 13-3 [almost mercy rule them] before completely falling apart + letting them take the lead 13-17, we then come back to lead 19-17 heading into the bottom ...

Man...tonight was exactly what I needed. My city is just what I needed - a simpler times walk to kill time + think turns into an impressively modern/hip art show in midtown. The first three songs I hear are 'bad romance,' ' love story' and 'party in the usa' - freaking awesome. Great, unpretentious [if that's possible] art in midtown? So cool. Things still aren't anywhere near the way I want them but I'm working on it - everything good that I see reminds me of what I want + what should be. - i def need to start keeping my camera on me... - monster football weekend coming up - I'd prefer my teams to win in the following order: 1] bama 2] gt 3] dirty birds ...sorry falcons, but it'd be really cool to see both of my college teams head to BCS bowls in the same season - and bama is going to win the bcs this season. I'll def. take +5.5 - i want to live 'the gambler'

- bama got the job done @ auburn - the same can not be said for tech...but it was the perfect day for the last tailgate of the season + i touched the heisman trophy - 'wild at heart' is one of the most challenging, optimistic, scary + amazing books i've ever read - but we already knew that 'A man is never more a man than when he embraces an adventure beyond his control, or when he walks into a battle he isn't sure of winning.' - i'm working on the most important thing + doing my best to live by the serenity prayer - saturday brings the most anticipated college football game of the year [roll tide - we'll finish the job this time around] + sunday my most anticipated nfl game of the year [what's the best tailgate breakfast?] - how about this i & love & you?

Things aren't the way they should be right now but all I can do is focus on everything that I'm thankful for, continue to work on becoming the man that I want to be + trust that everything will work out. Going the last month w/o drinking has given me a fresh new perspective + I've learned a lot about who I am + who I want to grow into but I've still got a ways to go. It's taking so much to get things back to good but I'm determined to set everything right + will not stop until everything is the way that it's supposed to be. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving + here's to GT and Bama taking care of business this weekend!

pretty good weekend: bama took care of business w/o playing up to our ability + leaving 2-3 TDs off the board, I got some quality hangout/putt putt/ps3 time w/ josh, got to spend time w/ the most amazing woman in the world & feel like I was in HS again, found some great stuff at my grandparent's old house + scared hitless completed our first perfect season this weather sucks but I guess it's good for reading + forcing myself to knock out this review for amg - the weather channel won't quit sending me flash flood warnings via text message... I've got to find a part-time/freelance gig to make some extra money over the next few months - all leads/suggestions are welcome.

The harpoons was just what I needed tonight - always great to see joyful, quirky, unique, humble indie rock @ a tiny, 1/4 full club. Now I just have to wait 4.5 hrs before I can head to Tuscaloosa w/ my Dad to watch bama crush lsu... ROLL TIDE!!!

It's been too long - but that's alright. Things have been very up + down over the past month or two but they're def. down now, mainly due to mistakes that I've made. The most important thing in my life isn't right + that's got everything sort of messed up...but I'm going to fix that regardless of what I have to do. I'm going to try out not drinking for a month or so + see how that goes. I don't think that I use alcohol as any kind of crutch at all but figure it'll be good to deal w/ everything w/o drinking + get a little different perspective on that kind of stuff. It's just crazy how the majority of social situations that you're involved in during your twenties semi-revolve around alcohol on some level. I'm sure I haven't gone a week w/o drinking since I turned 21 + it's prob been ten years since I went a month w/o having a drink - not that unusual but still interesting. It's almost been two weeks so far + it really isn...

Fletcher Martin knocked off the #1 seed in the ad league playoffs last night! We're now only two wins away from the championship game... The last two months have been full of soccer & softball during the week + braves games, lake tobesofkee, plenty of golf, a new YOB champ, a barely legal party on the roof of my place, and plenty of album + live show reviews for AMG. I def. measure the weekdays in terms of sports + the weekends in terms of fun + time w/ Brooke. I'm still trying to figure out a way to make the weekdays mean more but I'm sure I'll get there at some point. - having to get a new cell phone is a total scam - dbt @ the capital theatre tomorrow night! - little bang braves game saturday! - college, pro + fantasy football season approaches...

It's been a while, old friend - the past few weeks have seen another ridiculously awesome/classy redneck all-star race in Charlotte w/ the guys [and mom], some still-lingering patellar tendinitis, a super memorable memorial day including a trip to Macon's best kept secret [AP's Hidden Hideaway] and crazy deals for the only crew at BJ's Billiards, and Ava's 1st trip to ga [ga aquarium, fatty food in macon/fresh food in atl, and early mornings]... I also finally found a decent road bike, the ITP Strikers moved up to D-4 [thank you, Smiley's broken middle phalange], and DJ Sparkles has resumed talks of a move to Atlanta - I'll take it. The coming weekend brings another summer friday [woot], a little visit from Sparkles [woot woot], a possible TVotR show [or another], and a much-anticipated sunday w/ my baby + a dinner w/ the suburb-dwellars and a possible trip to the drive-in. - let's go -

Another amazing weekend w/ my amazing girlfriend: Thursday night surprise, Friday afternoon delicious dinner, a very impressive screen on the green jr @ jms + rp's, Brooke's 1st 5k + coed softball game Saturday morning [she's quite the athlete], hawks playoff game [we tried I guess], the tavern for 4th meal, buckhead + cypress street Sunday night and a few naps + games of wii thrown in througout the weekend. - I just found out that the frame of my stove top opens up like the hood of a car Scared Hitless came through w/ one [or two] unlikely wins last night to advance to the quarter finals. If they could only find themselves a real pitcher they might have a decent shot at the championship... No takers for the Spring Classic @ the Ted - it was the perfect day for some general admission college baseball + tailgating but that's par for the course I guess. At this point I guess I'm one of the only cool guys I know w/o a girlfriend/wife/kid[s] during the week so what can ...

The hawks played well at times but didn't quite get it done tonight...they must be saving that for the prime time Saturday night game w/ all the hip hop all-stars [and Brooke + myself]. I still need to grab some new friends that aren't too busy/lame to be dependable for cool/random stuff during the week. My baby might be up here early Friday night for SotG, jr + to prepare for our inaugural 'most wealthy charity in the world + couples 5k' Saturday morning. It's Tuesday - all that's left is itp strikers + ad league softball then it's time to live the good life! - let's go hawks! [aka: win one please]

that was cool! I hate being away from Brooke during the week but I love our little weekends together. I love how we can have a blast whether anyone else is up for doing anything or not. First softball game of the season was canceled on account of the crazy weather [thank god] but it was nice to hit up the batting cages w/ Eric. We're gunning for the team one spot above us in soccer this week + then it's time for the kickball tourney sat + ryan adams v1 sunday...oh, and it's also the triumphant return of DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME!!!
