simmer down now

Man, what a week...

We threw one hell of a party at my house last Friday night, I'm pretty sure everyone had a blast. Then my boss calls me Sunday afternoon and lets me know that we'll be in Durham all week...that was a good experience I guess but it pretty much sucked overall for a few key reasons. I'm not going into it all here, a few people that talk to me already know all about it. So needless to say, I think I'm a freelance/multiple job kind of guy, but we'll see what I do about that.

So I get back to Atlanta this morning at 130a and get up to head to the Bama/LSU game at 630a. What a great atmosphere, LSU has some really cool fans, hard-fought old school SEC game...but we got beat: goodbye SEC Championship, goodbye any chance of a national title shot. One loss and they're gone just like that. - damn -

Oh, and today [it's 330a on Sunday morning, I just got back from Tuscaloosa b/c I had to take my crackhead dad to the emergency room in Birmingham for twelve stitches b/c he cut the hell out of his finger cutting a coke/bama posterboard off of a pole - a three hour detour] I've got to write three cd reviews that are due Monday since i had been procrastinating [of course] and then got the Durham bomb dropped on me.

Oh yeah, and we're heading to some city in Florida called Indian Harbor Beach on Tuesday and we'll be down there for the next seven weeks [yes, weekends included]. At least I'll be home for T-Day...

So I just found out that my 2nd ex-girlfriend is engaged to be married this summer. Wow, it's crazy how things happen and change so fast. It's also so weird how different people are depending on who they are dating at the time. It sounds like her ideal life though, so that's great. It's not a sad thing or anything, it's just crazy. Ha, I'm not sure what it is about dating me that makes a girl want to get married to the next guy she meets... that's all

this is my home

I've said it before and I'll say it again: atlanta is awesome. I spent the day [from nine to seven] at the inman park festival today...'working'. It's so cool so see such a diverse group of people come together and have some fun. The parade was great, everything from old people dressed up and dancing like they're on bad acid to grady high school's band doing the whole 'black band' drumcore [or whatever the name of that movie was] thing. Of course my signature luck had my allergies kicking my ass all day but I didn't let it ruin the fun too much. After about twenty minutes of lying in bed and a double shot of benadryl [I know it's a histamine blocker] and some rockstar [to counteract the anti-histamine side effect] it's time for dinner and whatever I can get into tonight. All this on less than four hours of sleep. I'm sitting at 44 hours worked this week, not even counting being at the festival tomorrow from 11-7. You know you...
