Wow, what a difference a week makes. . .
My favorite holiday of the year was great. Great food, great family, and a surprisingly large amount of time w/ the wartown crew. The Sunday after Thanksgiving brought a nine hour drive down to southern Florida w/ Stewart for work. It sucked of course. Working like a construction worker for twelve hours a day too far away from my friends and family is not the life for me. The only thing that made it halfway bearable was running a few miles each afternoon/night on the beach and just listening to some death cab and watching the waves and thinking about a lot of stuff. I let David know how I felt Wednesday night and now it's time to find a new job(s).
Hitched a ride w/ Stewart to WR Thursday, to Athens w/ Jennifer Friday, to Atlanta w/ Courtney today, and w/ Jessica to get my truck from Peachtree City just a little while ago. I'll be doing flash ad design for Josh and GL at IBalz Marketing freelance, so that's something I've got going for me. Otherwise I'll be hopping on the valet train w/ the rest of the guys and seeing what freelance design jobs/real jobs I can find. I'm always excited about possibility, probably too much so. I'm just glad to be back in Atlanta and able to take advantage of every opportunity that presents itself, it's all going to be just fine.
It's crazy how things change, you think you'll be w/ something for so long and then just like that it's on to something else. Life's cool like that :: never settle.
Tonight brings poker and possibly heading out to introduce Jessica to the real nightlife in Atlanta w/ the crew. The rest of the weekend and this week will be seeing what I can get into.
It's time to make something happen. This should be interesting...
