'father's' day

I wait too long b/n posts on this thing...although I'm not really even sure what this thing is for. I guess it's so I can look back on it when I'm older and be like 'ah, so THAT'S what was wrong w/ me'. That'd be a good topic for one of these entries, so much to say.

Anyway, it's bullet time -

: I really believe that this father's day will mark a huge change in the direction of my dad's life and our lives together. You definitely have to hit bottom before you can start your climb back up and I don't think there's any further to fall. - hope/belief in the future

: I might have a job opportunity in nyc before long, that'd be cool

: I finally got a phone that was made within the past twelve years. How do you get new phone numbers out to people [404.626.6233]? It's like the 'end of an era' kind of thing - so many numbers in my phone that I'll never enter into my new one and people who I will most likely never talk to again. Weird stuff to think about.

: How about those americans? We tried to ruin all the credit we earned in the soccer world against the Czech Republic and then came out and took it to the Italians. That's all I ask out of our team, just to come out with that 'american swagger' and bust their asses the entire game. What a match. I can't wait to head over to jb's place tomorrow to drink beer with breakfast and watch us do what we've gotta do to get into the second round.

: I got a translucent shower curtain, those things are awesome & are a longtime favorite of mine. I had been using a green one b/c my mom gave it to me but the clear ones let in so much more light it's like a totally new experience. I know they're not fashionable or finished or whatever but I'm going to rock the clear shower curtain until a girl makes me stop. Ha, I think I've got plenty of time to enjoy it.

: I also finally got a pair of those nike free running shoes. You know nike's gotta come up w/ something really cool for me to buy them, I don't think I've owned a pair of nikes since I was in middle school. I'll buy the whole 'run barefoot' thing, after only three miles yesterday I could tell that I had to work harder and was feeling more in my feet and calves than I usually do, it could be all in my head though. - the experiment continues

: I get to play w/ Joe this Saturday after our softball tournament. It's pretty pathetic when you only get to hang out w/ a guy that's been your closest friend since kindergarten when his wife has a bachelorette party. Oh well, I'll take it.

: Corndogorama is this weekend as well and I've put a soccer/whiffle ball/grill n chill/sweetwater event into the works for sunday at piedmont. You all should come.

So I just found out that my 2nd ex-girlfriend is engaged to be married this summer. Wow, it's crazy how things happen and change so fast. It's also so weird how different people are depending on who they are dating at the time. It sounds like her ideal life though, so that's great. It's not a sad thing or anything, it's just crazy. Ha, I'm not sure what it is about dating me that makes a girl want to get married to the next guy she meets... that's all

this is my home

I've said it before and I'll say it again: atlanta is awesome. I spent the day [from nine to seven] at the inman park festival today...'working'. It's so cool so see such a diverse group of people come together and have some fun. The parade was great, everything from old people dressed up and dancing like they're on bad acid to grady high school's band doing the whole 'black band' drumcore [or whatever the name of that movie was] thing. Of course my signature luck had my allergies kicking my ass all day but I didn't let it ruin the fun too much. After about twenty minutes of lying in bed and a double shot of benadryl [I know it's a histamine blocker] and some rockstar [to counteract the anti-histamine side effect] it's time for dinner and whatever I can get into tonight. All this on less than four hours of sleep. I'm sitting at 44 hours worked this week, not even counting being at the festival tomorrow from 11-7. You know you...
