i'm all bloody

- i f*ing love atlanta -

Crazy couple days. Sunday Chris & I head to park tavern for unplugged in the park. Long story short, his jeep gets towed [that industry has to be run by the mafia], we meet some really cool people who also got screwed that night, hitched rides around the city, and ended up at the airport with MY renting Chris a car before it was all over.

Mysterious skin is a crazy, freaky, beautiful movie.

Last night I was thankfully able to drag Alex out to the 'prophecy on ponce' block party for 666 [it's just fun]. It was about what you would expect: a lot of people dressed up as demons, freaks, murdered brides, zombies, that bunny from donnie darko; 'repent' signs in front of the local; hard core punk rock/heavy metal; etc. I even saw a guy dressed as Jesus, that was a great idea.

We started out at clermont for a pbr & some karaoke. We even ate at the vortex before we went, so that counts for some more evil points as well. The highlight of the night was at mjq where they had 'blood wrestling', although it didn't taste like real blood. We were right on the front row for all the action, so of course I end up looking like a bloody zombie in a b horror movie [especially since I let some girl afro my hair and put lipstick on me outside so we could get five bucks off the cover]. Jennifer got a real treat when we stopped by to see her after we left the club at 230 in the morning. We even got to talk to some homeless guy for the majority of the walk home. You can really learn a lot from those guys. Some of the girls we saw wrestle would kick my ass, others were really cute. It was all sort of hot in a dirty kind of way.

I've gotta find a freaky girl that's totally open to check out that kind of stuff but can swing back the other way & do the usual girlfriend things like meets parents and go to brunch/piedmont/movies/whatever. I'm thinking the best way to meet those kinds of girls is to go to semi-crazy places and look for the girls that are dressed the most normal...I'll work on a strategy

This next week brings the world cup & the atlanta film festival. there are some really great shows too - hell yes

- here we go -

postscript: who wants to check out the dbt, robert randolph, & black crowes show @ lakewood on july 6th? Actually, who wants to check out ANY show?

So I just found out that my 2nd ex-girlfriend is engaged to be married this summer. Wow, it's crazy how things happen and change so fast. It's also so weird how different people are depending on who they are dating at the time. It sounds like her ideal life though, so that's great. It's not a sad thing or anything, it's just crazy. Ha, I'm not sure what it is about dating me that makes a girl want to get married to the next guy she meets... that's all

this is my home

I've said it before and I'll say it again: atlanta is awesome. I spent the day [from nine to seven] at the inman park festival today...'working'. It's so cool so see such a diverse group of people come together and have some fun. The parade was great, everything from old people dressed up and dancing like they're on bad acid to grady high school's band doing the whole 'black band' drumcore [or whatever the name of that movie was] thing. Of course my signature luck had my allergies kicking my ass all day but I didn't let it ruin the fun too much. After about twenty minutes of lying in bed and a double shot of benadryl [I know it's a histamine blocker] and some rockstar [to counteract the anti-histamine side effect] it's time for dinner and whatever I can get into tonight. All this on less than four hours of sleep. I'm sitting at 44 hours worked this week, not even counting being at the festival tomorrow from 11-7. You know you...
