don't stop til you're numb

FYI - proofreading a legal contract concerning a hedge fund [or something like that] for a law firm isn't as much fun as it sounds - Personal Stats for ~85 pages/5 hours : 47 yawns - .55/page or 9.5/hour, 3 new pen tricks [including vertically stacking two pens and a highlighter - very impressive], 2 x 14 line sentences, 1 x 19 line sentence, 1.5 times through boxer/easy tiger/icky thump/sky blue sky - thank god for the concealed shuffle

This weekend was def. the most friendful that I've had since college, esp. Saturday. After getting into/staying out of trouble w/ Kevin Friday night it was onto softball w/ Joe and the 'burb/married w/ kids crew [we got the now standard one win before packing it in] on four hours sleep. Got to see a bunch of folks that I don't hang out w/ nearly enough at Yeagers new mansion that afternoon. It's crazy to me how much fun everyone always has when we all get together yet how tough it is to do it more often...hopefully we can attempt to change that w/ the most wonderful time of the year [football season] coming up.

Saturday night entailed another long night spent drinking w/ engaged friends, drinking w/ single friends after the old folks went home ;), and ended after several hours of drunken, slippery basketball and hot tub musings on the roof. It's not ideal to wake up w/ random bruises but it's good to know where they came from - my drunken domination was totally worth the sore wrist, legs, and bruised hands...we white boys have to take it when we can get it.

Tomorrow brings a 2nd interview w/ Paste and Friday a meeting w/ the president of Fletcher Martin so hopefully it won't be long now. I'm really looking forward to Constance & Ashley returning next week.

[ the departed lives up to it - goodfellas will have to wait ]

So I just found out that my 2nd ex-girlfriend is engaged to be married this summer. Wow, it's crazy how things happen and change so fast. It's also so weird how different people are depending on who they are dating at the time. It sounds like her ideal life though, so that's great. It's not a sad thing or anything, it's just crazy. Ha, I'm not sure what it is about dating me that makes a girl want to get married to the next guy she meets... that's all

this is my home

I've said it before and I'll say it again: atlanta is awesome. I spent the day [from nine to seven] at the inman park festival today...'working'. It's so cool so see such a diverse group of people come together and have some fun. The parade was great, everything from old people dressed up and dancing like they're on bad acid to grady high school's band doing the whole 'black band' drumcore [or whatever the name of that movie was] thing. Of course my signature luck had my allergies kicking my ass all day but I didn't let it ruin the fun too much. After about twenty minutes of lying in bed and a double shot of benadryl [I know it's a histamine blocker] and some rockstar [to counteract the anti-histamine side effect] it's time for dinner and whatever I can get into tonight. All this on less than four hours of sleep. I'm sitting at 44 hours worked this week, not even counting being at the festival tomorrow from 11-7. You know you...
