blood siblings

Went to give blood tonight w/ Daya. It was pretty cool, about what I expected. She's one cool girl, even though she couldn't give blood b/c she had a phantom temperature from chewing gum [suuuurrre]. I am extremely friendly and inquisitive when I'm in that hospital kind of environment, not sure why that is, I hope I don't annoy them. I'm very polite though, so it should be cool. A lot of tech folks were giving platelets, that'd be something good to try next time. My blood sister and I will try it again in December.

I'm going to be writing a feature on MC Chris for SEP...pretty cool and intimidating but I'm up for it b/c it's a good challenge and something new. I've been doing 350 word reviews, now I'm doing a 1500 word feature. I'm not too sure what I think of his music yet, but maybe that will make for a good angle or something. He's from adult swim, which all the kids seem to enjoy. Maybe I can get some free stuff or some cartoon network connections. I guess SEP doesn't think that my reviews suck too bad, either that or they're just really hurting for crazy people to spend a lot of time writing reviews and interviews for the privilege [sp?] of getting into random indie shows for free. But yeah, I've gotta get in touch w/ his people and interview him I guess.

That'll do for now, Jennifer's messing w/ me. We should talk more often.

So I just found out that my 2nd ex-girlfriend is engaged to be married this summer. Wow, it's crazy how things happen and change so fast. It's also so weird how different people are depending on who they are dating at the time. It sounds like her ideal life though, so that's great. It's not a sad thing or anything, it's just crazy. Ha, I'm not sure what it is about dating me that makes a girl want to get married to the next guy she meets... that's all

this is my home

I've said it before and I'll say it again: atlanta is awesome. I spent the day [from nine to seven] at the inman park festival today...'working'. It's so cool so see such a diverse group of people come together and have some fun. The parade was great, everything from old people dressed up and dancing like they're on bad acid to grady high school's band doing the whole 'black band' drumcore [or whatever the name of that movie was] thing. Of course my signature luck had my allergies kicking my ass all day but I didn't let it ruin the fun too much. After about twenty minutes of lying in bed and a double shot of benadryl [I know it's a histamine blocker] and some rockstar [to counteract the anti-histamine side effect] it's time for dinner and whatever I can get into tonight. All this on less than four hours of sleep. I'm sitting at 44 hours worked this week, not even counting being at the festival tomorrow from 11-7. You know you...
