maybe you're right

Alright, just finished the walkmen review...I always wait til the last minute [or in this case, about an hour after the last minute]. Mike wants me to review three cds [one double cd] by the end of next week and a feature on MC Chris by the end of the next week. I think I'm being taken advantage of, I'm down with live reviews b/c you get a free show out of it and I guess a feature would be cool b/c it's a big deal and you get to interview a musician, but these cd reviews pretty much suck. They take forever b/c you have to listen to each one like three or four times to get a feel for it and they're nothing spectacular after you do get to know them. They're always from local bands so obscure that even I have never heard of them, if that tells you anything.

But anyway, tonight I'm headed home for some grandma/family time, hopefully the fair if the rain doesn't kill it, and partying with what should be a pretty decent little crew for James' birthday. It seems like every week goes by so fast but leaves me so worn out when I actually take the time to slow down and feel it. I keep saying that I need a girlfriend so I'll settle down a bit but that's just an excuse, I'm always up for whatever if there is some fun to be had.

That's it, I need to shower and try to sneak in a nap before I head south to wartown. Goodbye gas money...

So I just found out that my 2nd ex-girlfriend is engaged to be married this summer. Wow, it's crazy how things happen and change so fast. It's also so weird how different people are depending on who they are dating at the time. It sounds like her ideal life though, so that's great. It's not a sad thing or anything, it's just crazy. Ha, I'm not sure what it is about dating me that makes a girl want to get married to the next guy she meets... that's all

this is my home

I've said it before and I'll say it again: atlanta is awesome. I spent the day [from nine to seven] at the inman park festival today...'working'. It's so cool so see such a diverse group of people come together and have some fun. The parade was great, everything from old people dressed up and dancing like they're on bad acid to grady high school's band doing the whole 'black band' drumcore [or whatever the name of that movie was] thing. Of course my signature luck had my allergies kicking my ass all day but I didn't let it ruin the fun too much. After about twenty minutes of lying in bed and a double shot of benadryl [I know it's a histamine blocker] and some rockstar [to counteract the anti-histamine side effect] it's time for dinner and whatever I can get into tonight. All this on less than four hours of sleep. I'm sitting at 44 hours worked this week, not even counting being at the festival tomorrow from 11-7. You know you...
