Good day. Banged on some flash ads for Josh this morning, spent the afternoon doing promo stuff for the new Chappelle movie in Little Five [what a beautiful day]. There is so much cool stuff out there, just in Atlanta. It's amazing to think about how much there is to experience all over the world, it's ridiculous really. Played poker at a bar across the street w/ some of my new neighbors and James and Teddy tonight. We came for the free drink and finger foods and stayed for the poker. James lasted about three hands, I ended up playing for like three hours, not too bad. They were both finished for the night by the time I got done so I headed up to karaoke w/ Beth and her crew by myself. It wasn't bad, I'm just more of a chill guy [and a metalsome monday kind of guy, which I plugged to at least five people]. Now I'm going to try to knock out the rest of these farm team reports and hit the sack so I can get up and run/workout in the morning. I love full days. S...

grave's disease

Not doing so well at the whole 'updating' thing, oh well. Pretty good week. It was nice to go home for a couple days and see my mom, dad, Josh, and the rest of my family. Even got to see Jessica Thomas, who I haven't seen in like 6 years and who, during that time, has turned into a straight-up backwoods redneck [jk]. Oh, and I want my wife and I to die together. I don't want to be a sad old man, but it is semi-comforting to know that men die younger than women. fri - chilled w/ james, threw a bit, tried to meet courtney and some of her friends in the highlands but that didn't happen, not much sleep though. sat - played softball from 9a to 6p in the rain, it was a very literal debut for the swamp donkeys, we were definitely in our element. We ended up w/ 2nd in our division, not too bad for a bunch of guys that have never played together and just went out there and got totally soaked and covered in mud and acted stupid. Saturday night never really got going b/...

the man who killed love

Ah, it's been too long. It's really nice to see you again, internet. It's been a while so let's just recap the weekend w/ the quickness: - friday night was basketball w/ the guys & then plenty of red on the walk to Spring Forth [an industrial/gothic club] w/ James to meet Andi and her friends. I was hoping to see some suspension and hardcore piercings and stuff but I'll take a bunch of cool, different people and a live industrial band. this is what the city is about - saturday was strugg-a-ling through eight hours running the shop, a quick half-ass nap and the will hoge show w/ Eric, Lindsay, Mellissa, etc. Their new stuff is good. It looks/sounds like they know they're ready to make that next step. We all hung out at Smith's after the show. Delicious cuban sandwich, tater tots, and conversation. It was nice having some time w/ that group. It's so cool that almost everyone is in Atlanta [finally] - yesterday was softball practice in the free...

the ghost of you

It's been a while, let's make it quick: - my new apt. in midtown is a great value [you should come check it out] - I've got a better set of old school glasses than you [alvin & the chipmunks, looney tunes, flintstones] - I want to try out a bidet, those things sound scary but I bet they're awesome once you give in - my chemical romance is a really good band [at least based on their last record]. Great image/good tunes. You can't fight it.

impossible

Quite a weekend. The game was pretty good yesterday, my hawks had their chances and just couldn't make the plays. The commercials during the first quarter were pretty good. The beer ones are always the best by far, no wonder we're all drunks... The weather today is amazingly crappy, just in time for my move. It's alright though, I'm not against any kind of deadline or anything. I'm just ready to get settled somewhere and start making some things happen. After acting stupid and having too much drunken fun this weekend I'm just looking to start knocking some stuff off of my list. We'll see how that goes. I just feel like I'm not making any kind of real progress in anything although I'm sure that's not true, right? ...right?

- w o w -

So I just found out that my 2nd ex-girlfriend is engaged to be married this summer. Wow, it's crazy how things happen and change so fast. It's also so weird how different people are depending on who they are dating at the time. It sounds like her ideal life though, so that's great. It's not a sad thing or anything, it's just crazy. Ha, I'm not sure what it is about dating me that makes a girl want to get married to the next guy she meets... that's all

get set

I felt funky today at work: my body was all achy, head felt weird, pupils were dilated. It was crazy and sucked. I would say it might have been the flu or something...but I don't get sick, so that can't be it. It did give me an excuse to use some of that theraflu stuff that I got at a thrashers game like two years ago [it wasn't expired, I checked]. I feel fine now and am ready for the weekend. Plans are as follows: Fri - cosmolava w/ everyone and their friends for Sam's bday [girls always get the big celebrations]. hopefully I'll stay semi-unretarded so work Saturday won't be rough as hell. Sat - pre-gaming the thrashers game at james' studio downtown then heading to the clairmont after the game. it's gonna get nuts, that's a requirement anytime the clairmont is involved. Sun - total man's day at yeagers: poker, video games, beer, pizza, chicken, etc. for the super bowl. Oh yeah, I've still got some work to do on the apartment and job...
