the man who killed love

Ah, it's been too long. It's really nice to see you again, internet.

It's been a while so let's just recap the weekend w/ the quickness:
- friday night was basketball w/ the guys & then plenty of red on the walk to Spring Forth [an industrial/gothic club] w/ James to meet Andi and her friends. I was hoping to see some suspension and hardcore piercings and stuff but I'll take a bunch of cool, different people and a live industrial band. this is what the city is about

- saturday was strugg-a-ling through eight hours running the shop, a quick half-ass nap and the will hoge show w/ Eric, Lindsay, Mellissa, etc. Their new stuff is good. It looks/sounds like they know they're ready to make that next step. We all hung out at Smith's after the show. Delicious cuban sandwich, tater tots, and conversation. It was nice having some time w/ that group. It's so cool that almost everyone is in Atlanta [finally]

- yesterday was softball practice in the freezing weather. Tournaments are going to be fun w/ all of our stupid asses out there. Then we had to make the obligatory stop by a Zaxby's since we were out in the 'burbs where all of them are...oh so good. Last night was some old school donkey kong country w/ Katy. It's been nice having her back in town for a few days.

- today was lunch at eat's w/ katy, my girl daya, and anisha. I've eaten some really good stuff the past few days. Katy and I checked out the censored art exhibit at gsu after that, it was really cool and thought-provoking and all that art should be. I can't even start on that or I'll be here all night. We saw a small car chase going the wrong way [towards us] on ponce on the way back. Apparently this mexican guy was scared of the police woman for some reason. He was all driving around cars against traffic and when he got pinned in he jumped out and took off running. It was crazy. It's the kind of thing where you want to help and you know you could catch him...but I don't feel like fighting a mexican [getting my ass kicked by a mexican] when I'm not even sure what he did wrong. But that was cool to see, I'm sure he got taken down hard soon enough. Tonight is my delicious pepperoni/mushrooms/banana peppers pizza and then probably checking out match point at the landmark.

Well, that wasn't very quick at all. I'll have to work on that.

The holidays were nice: This was def the weirdest/worst Christmas ever but still good times. Nanny's was different since it's hit the point where it seems like it's time for each 'family' to go their separate way now + w/ all the new little kids and the 20-somethings growing apart. I'm looking forward to having the Fuller Christmas in Charlotte next year. I do love getting more from Mom + Robert than any kid over 14 should - it's pretty awesome how much they've done + continue to do for us. I got to spend a few days w/ Brooke before taking her to the airport on Christmas eve - that was def the best part of the holidays by far. Dad and I got out and played some golf w/ DJ Sparkles as our personal caddy on an unbelievably beautiful day for late December [or April for that matter]. It wasn't hard to tell that it'd been months since I last touched a club. Grandma Salter's was different this year too; mainly b/c Mom + Robert left for Houston on th...

too much sex [too little jesus]

What an awesome title for a rock song. Man, I love dbt. They've got it all. It's just dirty, rowdy, heartfelt southern rock. Anyway... Mondays are weird. I always feel like a slacker b/c everyone else is at work and I'm not, even though I work Saturdays and I went into the shop for a few hours today and did some freelance stuff. I guess it's just me. Such beautiful weather, it seems like the weather's been pretty much awesome for the past month or so. Pretty good weekend. Friday night we checked out Front Page News in midtown. It was pretty cool, I just miss the good ol' days when everyone else would get a little crazy, seems like they're all so chill now. I guess that's how it is when you get in a relationship though, so that's good for them. I guess I feel like having a girlfriend doesn't really change the way I act that much, but maybe it does. I'll work on them though, now that even more of us are in the city. Saturday was an ...
