don't fail me now

Oh man, this lollapalooza + trip is beginning to look even better. I think I'm going to just make a week of it and hit up Nashville Tuesday, St. Louis Wednesday, and Chicago Thursday through Sunday. I've got tix to the Ryan Adams show at the Ryman Tuesday and at the Pageant on Wednesday. At this point I'm thinking I'll get rid of the Ryman tix b/c they're not together and they're off to the side of the auditorium. The tix at the Pageant are general admission so it'll be cool to be on the floor [standing is for old people]. The show at the Tabernacle Saturday night is a no go b/c of Leo and Heather's wedding.

It'd be cool to check out a cubs game Thursday but I'm not sure how easy it'll be to get tickets. That's almost the kind of thing where you go at any cost just b/c it's such a great opportunity though.

The epicness [epic-nicity?] of lollapalooza goes w/o saying, and as an added bonus, most of the set times for the folks I'm trying to see don't overlap too much. It also looks like the final sets end around eleven each night, which means there will be plenty of time to check out Chicago's nightlife.

Alright, I guess that's enough bragging, it's going to be a bad ass road trip.

I'm going to be a pescatarian until at least August. It'll be a nice semi-challenge and it'll be cool to see if anything changes. I'm sure it'll be a little tough this weekend in Charlotte visiting my parents and at the braves game on the fourth. I usually only eat fish or pasta when I go out to eat anyway though, and I'm sure I could find some veggie burgers [tofu dogs] or something to grill at the game.

I need to check into how much you get paid for donating blood plasma and how often you can do it. That doesn't seem like a bad gig.

My editor just told me that I can review the butch cd release show at the playhouse, although it is due by 10a the next morning. Small price to pay.

It's late, get to bed.

The holidays were nice: This was def the weirdest/worst Christmas ever but still good times. Nanny's was different since it's hit the point where it seems like it's time for each 'family' to go their separate way now + w/ all the new little kids and the 20-somethings growing apart. I'm looking forward to having the Fuller Christmas in Charlotte next year. I do love getting more from Mom + Robert than any kid over 14 should - it's pretty awesome how much they've done + continue to do for us. I got to spend a few days w/ Brooke before taking her to the airport on Christmas eve - that was def the best part of the holidays by far. Dad and I got out and played some golf w/ DJ Sparkles as our personal caddy on an unbelievably beautiful day for late December [or April for that matter]. It wasn't hard to tell that it'd been months since I last touched a club. Grandma Salter's was different this year too; mainly b/c Mom + Robert left for Houston on th...

too much sex [too little jesus]

What an awesome title for a rock song. Man, I love dbt. They've got it all. It's just dirty, rowdy, heartfelt southern rock. Anyway... Mondays are weird. I always feel like a slacker b/c everyone else is at work and I'm not, even though I work Saturdays and I went into the shop for a few hours today and did some freelance stuff. I guess it's just me. Such beautiful weather, it seems like the weather's been pretty much awesome for the past month or so. Pretty good weekend. Friday night we checked out Front Page News in midtown. It was pretty cool, I just miss the good ol' days when everyone else would get a little crazy, seems like they're all so chill now. I guess that's how it is when you get in a relationship though, so that's good for them. I guess I feel like having a girlfriend doesn't really change the way I act that much, but maybe it does. I'll work on them though, now that even more of us are in the city. Saturday was an ...
