toe the line

I love having the freedom to work on both sides of my life right now:

Went to 'sierra club & beer' tonight @ the savage burrito. It was really cool, my kind of people. I even met a guy that is in mazerati & was just interviewed by the magazine that I work for[he's an urban planner in his grown-up life]. You can't beat free sweetwater beer, trivia, & meeting other 20-somethings like yourself that have the same ideas & goals.

I also firmed up my plans for nye in toronto & found out that I've got a free place to stay & free food for cmj in nyc this year. Although I definitely don't have the money to drop on plane tickets for this stuff, I'm totally doing it all. How often will I have these kinds of opportunities/freedoms? Delta's one-way fare sale is just god's way of telling me to go for it [as if I needed any more encouragement].

I'm going to get another job tomorrow morning so I can get more money for this stuff anyway.

Add to that the fact that I get to see dbt & bare jr. again in macon tomorrow & that I've convinced my brother & dad to come along. Rock n Reel is next week as well, that's an entire week of amazings, I'll definitely do my best to be at as many shows as possible.

My kind of day - being able to push myself in every directions. I think this is what being 'our age' is all about. Have fun, take chances, take care of your responsibilities, & see what's out there.

you only live once

The holidays were nice: This was def the weirdest/worst Christmas ever but still good times. Nanny's was different since it's hit the point where it seems like it's time for each 'family' to go their separate way now + w/ all the new little kids and the 20-somethings growing apart. I'm looking forward to having the Fuller Christmas in Charlotte next year. I do love getting more from Mom + Robert than any kid over 14 should - it's pretty awesome how much they've done + continue to do for us. I got to spend a few days w/ Brooke before taking her to the airport on Christmas eve - that was def the best part of the holidays by far. Dad and I got out and played some golf w/ DJ Sparkles as our personal caddy on an unbelievably beautiful day for late December [or April for that matter]. It wasn't hard to tell that it'd been months since I last touched a club. Grandma Salter's was different this year too; mainly b/c Mom + Robert left for Houston on th...

too much sex [too little jesus]

What an awesome title for a rock song. Man, I love dbt. They've got it all. It's just dirty, rowdy, heartfelt southern rock. Anyway... Mondays are weird. I always feel like a slacker b/c everyone else is at work and I'm not, even though I work Saturdays and I went into the shop for a few hours today and did some freelance stuff. I guess it's just me. Such beautiful weather, it seems like the weather's been pretty much awesome for the past month or so. Pretty good weekend. Friday night we checked out Front Page News in midtown. It was pretty cool, I just miss the good ol' days when everyone else would get a little crazy, seems like they're all so chill now. I guess that's how it is when you get in a relationship though, so that's good for them. I guess I feel like having a girlfriend doesn't really change the way I act that much, but maybe it does. I'll work on them though, now that even more of us are in the city. Saturday was an ...
