what weekends are for

Friday night I learned that Scattergories is much more complicated/potentially violent than Hasbro would have you believe...and that playing this game makes some girls go CRAZY. This is exactly why I'm a Cranium man myself.

Chris, Marcus and I headed to Athens Saturday to check out Twilight Criterium and an acoustic set from a band that I'm sort of into, which was absolutely amazing. It was nice to see them have the chance to let their lyrics rush to the forefront. Isbell is gone [the amicability of the split is in question] but I still love them and I've got another great band to go see now. The price of alcohol at Athens bars never ceases to amaze & delight me...

Sunday brought a day of attempting to take full advantage of the beautiful weather w/ my favorite Athens attraction and then being lazier than I have been in a very long time, however forced it may have been - not too bad though, esp. considering that apparently I'm not too old to sleep in my truck after a night of partying away from home. I also knocked out 3.1 in 20 last night, not too bad considering my Saturday/night and lack of sleep, so I'll def. be shooting to beat that cinco de maya manana...wow I'm a dork.

I made my television debut today...or I guess I will when the episode airs in a year or so, not that I'll remember to look for it by then anyway. The part was pretty easy - for some reason acting like I'm at a house party and later being passed out before we all get kicked out of the house seems to come fairly natural ;) pantomiming stuff [even extremely common gestures] is still weird though. I was once again impressed by how hardcore extras are and the long hours they'll work for minimum wage - Hollywood sure is one alluring siren. The sculpture shop gig starts tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to learning more random skills through another cool & unique experience. We even have three dogs [Jack, Pabst, and Kayla] that hang out w/ us in the shop all day. We'll see how many jobs I can keep up w/...at this point I'm just looking forward to being slammed busy.

The holidays were nice: This was def the weirdest/worst Christmas ever but still good times. Nanny's was different since it's hit the point where it seems like it's time for each 'family' to go their separate way now + w/ all the new little kids and the 20-somethings growing apart. I'm looking forward to having the Fuller Christmas in Charlotte next year. I do love getting more from Mom + Robert than any kid over 14 should - it's pretty awesome how much they've done + continue to do for us. I got to spend a few days w/ Brooke before taking her to the airport on Christmas eve - that was def the best part of the holidays by far. Dad and I got out and played some golf w/ DJ Sparkles as our personal caddy on an unbelievably beautiful day for late December [or April for that matter]. It wasn't hard to tell that it'd been months since I last touched a club. Grandma Salter's was different this year too; mainly b/c Mom + Robert left for Houston on th...

too much sex [too little jesus]

What an awesome title for a rock song. Man, I love dbt. They've got it all. It's just dirty, rowdy, heartfelt southern rock. Anyway... Mondays are weird. I always feel like a slacker b/c everyone else is at work and I'm not, even though I work Saturdays and I went into the shop for a few hours today and did some freelance stuff. I guess it's just me. Such beautiful weather, it seems like the weather's been pretty much awesome for the past month or so. Pretty good weekend. Friday night we checked out Front Page News in midtown. It was pretty cool, I just miss the good ol' days when everyone else would get a little crazy, seems like they're all so chill now. I guess that's how it is when you get in a relationship though, so that's good for them. I guess I feel like having a girlfriend doesn't really change the way I act that much, but maybe it does. I'll work on them though, now that even more of us are in the city. Saturday was an ...
