go bama

Had a great weekend after a rough week, somehow I didn't do anything to celebrate my 2nd favorite holiday of the year but it was worth it. It's great to be back on the right track + feeling confident again.

Saturday: tailgating w/ everyone for the GT game Saturday was great [babies everywhere] + the hold steady & dbt let us know that rock n roll means well that night [although I'm not sure that dbt has totally convinced Brooke...yet] - dwight yoakam makes some questionable yet innovative snacks

Sunday: took advantage of the time change [boo] by actually getting up early enough to make it to the morning service, cultured it up w/ the atlanta ballet + swan lake that afternoon, then hung out at Manuel's for some trivia and good old-fashioned republican bashing that night [forgetting sarah marshall isn't very good]

Monday: two #8's + a leaf catching competition [which I won] @ piedmont was a great way to wrap up the weekend

- bama's #1 + obama is our president - coincidence? I don't think so...

[there are people screaming 'obama' from north ave]

- here's to the future in more ways than one -

I knew I could count on you. Funny though, somehow you are like only my 3rd non-republican friend in all of GA. Oh well now we have something to celebrate! Go us. Mara

The holidays were nice: This was def the weirdest/worst Christmas ever but still good times. Nanny's was different since it's hit the point where it seems like it's time for each 'family' to go their separate way now + w/ all the new little kids and the 20-somethings growing apart. I'm looking forward to having the Fuller Christmas in Charlotte next year. I do love getting more from Mom + Robert than any kid over 14 should - it's pretty awesome how much they've done + continue to do for us. I got to spend a few days w/ Brooke before taking her to the airport on Christmas eve - that was def the best part of the holidays by far. Dad and I got out and played some golf w/ DJ Sparkles as our personal caddy on an unbelievably beautiful day for late December [or April for that matter]. It wasn't hard to tell that it'd been months since I last touched a club. Grandma Salter's was different this year too; mainly b/c Mom + Robert left for Houston on th...

too much sex [too little jesus]

What an awesome title for a rock song. Man, I love dbt. They've got it all. It's just dirty, rowdy, heartfelt southern rock. Anyway... Mondays are weird. I always feel like a slacker b/c everyone else is at work and I'm not, even though I work Saturdays and I went into the shop for a few hours today and did some freelance stuff. I guess it's just me. Such beautiful weather, it seems like the weather's been pretty much awesome for the past month or so. Pretty good weekend. Friday night we checked out Front Page News in midtown. It was pretty cool, I just miss the good ol' days when everyone else would get a little crazy, seems like they're all so chill now. I guess that's how it is when you get in a relationship though, so that's good for them. I guess I feel like having a girlfriend doesn't really change the way I act that much, but maybe it does. I'll work on them though, now that even more of us are in the city. Saturday was an ...
