beer & babies

Hanging out w/ everyone at joe's last night for the game was fun. It's crazy to see all of the baby stuff they have, makes it all so much more real...twins. I know they're going to do a great job and have a blast, it just seems like we're still so young. That has more to do with what you are doing though, I guess my life is still so much more up in the air. They're def. settled in and ready for the long hall: nice house in the suburbs, dependable jobs, married friends, etc. Ha, it was sort of weird [only 'sort of' b/c I'm getting used to it] to be the only single person there: just me and a bunch of engaged/married couples, two young kids, and a little dog. I would like to get some practice babysitting though.

I'm ready to be there, I just want to make sure that I do it on my terms and take care of everything that I need to beforehand...and have a lot of fun/do plenty of random stuff that I wouldn't otherwise be able to do. Traveling so much [relatively speaking] this last year and having the opportunity to go to SXSW in March is def. an advantage of being so 'rootless'.

The interview that I had with ASO today was the best ever. I'm talking newly redesigned office on the 23rd floor of the marquis one building downtown, totally hip modern design furniture/environment, flat-screen TVs everywhere, laid-back, young employees [they all had jeans on], a liquor cabinet, beer on tap, free parking, margarita fridays...exactly my kind of place. While the money wouldn't be anything spectacular, I would have great benefits, work a mile from my apartment, be able to listen to my music all day, and have plenty of variety in my responsibilities. Ah, we'll see, I don't want to bank on it yet, I'll hear something back late this week/early next week.

[fingers crossed]

you only live once

The holidays were nice: This was def the weirdest/worst Christmas ever but still good times. Nanny's was different since it's hit the point where it seems like it's time for each 'family' to go their separate way now + w/ all the new little kids and the 20-somethings growing apart. I'm looking forward to having the Fuller Christmas in Charlotte next year. I do love getting more from Mom + Robert than any kid over 14 should - it's pretty awesome how much they've done + continue to do for us. I got to spend a few days w/ Brooke before taking her to the airport on Christmas eve - that was def the best part of the holidays by far. Dad and I got out and played some golf w/ DJ Sparkles as our personal caddy on an unbelievably beautiful day for late December [or April for that matter]. It wasn't hard to tell that it'd been months since I last touched a club. Grandma Salter's was different this year too; mainly b/c Mom + Robert left for Houston on th...

too much sex [too little jesus]

What an awesome title for a rock song. Man, I love dbt. They've got it all. It's just dirty, rowdy, heartfelt southern rock. Anyway... Mondays are weird. I always feel like a slacker b/c everyone else is at work and I'm not, even though I work Saturdays and I went into the shop for a few hours today and did some freelance stuff. I guess it's just me. Such beautiful weather, it seems like the weather's been pretty much awesome for the past month or so. Pretty good weekend. Friday night we checked out Front Page News in midtown. It was pretty cool, I just miss the good ol' days when everyone else would get a little crazy, seems like they're all so chill now. I guess that's how it is when you get in a relationship though, so that's good for them. I guess I feel like having a girlfriend doesn't really change the way I act that much, but maybe it does. I'll work on them though, now that even more of us are in the city. Saturday was an ...
